If you are unfamiliar with Alfresco Fridays, it is an ongoing, annual festival that occurs downtown at the Arts Festival Plaza. Every Friday from April 1st to September 30th, Alfresco Fridays will be hosting local bands from the area. They feature various local acts, from upcoming groups to well established bands. Alfresco Fridays! is in its ninth season this year, and this year the line-up is solid!
The bands start playing at 5:30 PM and finish around 7:30 PM. This gives plenty of time to get a good bite to eat before heading to the San Carlos building downtown for "La Parada". "La Parada" is an ongoing event that occurs on every first Friday of the month at the San Carlos Building in downtown El Paso. The building is located on the corners of Campbell and Texas Streets. There is always live music and art, as well as belly or fire dancing. As usual, you can find our Glasswork and Jewelry in the vendor's section of the event. Come out and support a killer local event, local artists, local musicians, local vendors, and an all around good local vibe! "La Parada" always holds it down, so don't miss the action!
