For anyone who has been living under a rock, or in a small cave in the middle of nowhere, El Paso's skate scene has been heating up in the past year or two.  Numerous pros have travelled through the area, including the Thrasher, 2010 Skater of the Year, Leo Romero.  Leo likes El Paso, and apparently so does Thrasher!  Thrasher noticed all the good things El Paso has been doing as far as skateboarding is concerned, and elected the city to be the 2010 Skate Town!  El Paso getting Skate Town of 2010, may have something to do with all of this...

A few seriously gnar skaters came through on a secret trip with the Independent Team and Thrasher. These guys skated the High Ridge Skatepark and Edgemont Ditch.  They killed it!  Here are the videos...

When the Foundation Team came through El Paso, they hit up the Falcore ramp on the Westside. The ramp shows up around :30 seconds. There are also a few other El Paso spots in this clip. Can you spot them?
The Foundation Tour was being followed on ESPN. So to see some of the coverage and pictures of Falcore on ESPN, click HERE. Here are two of the pictures Mike Sinclair posted of the team skating the ramp...

James Hardy has come to El Paso several times, once with Thrasher and the Skater of the Year crew. Can you find some of the local spots he hits in these clips?
These pictures are from Thrasher, these spots show up in James Hardy's videos. Both of these spots are in El Paso. To see the article in Thrasher, click HERE.

Although this was a few years ago, the Independent Team came through on their 30th Anniversary Tour.  They made a stop at the Hook and the Huevo. Check out the boardslide by Christian Hosoi around the entire shallow end of the Huevo!  It shows up at 1:00 minute, and footage at the Hook shows up at 1:28.

Here are some pictures from the Toy Machine Demo at Carolina Skatepark...

The Toy Team hit up a gaggle of spots in El Paso, most of them street spots. Some of these spots include Austin High School, the Hook, and Edgemont Ditch. Photo on the bottom left is of Toy Machine team rider, Diego Bucchieri and Crooks Shop Owner, Jesse!  The Crooks Skateshop guys have really been holdin' it down, thanks guys! Photos via Thrasher. Most recently, Thrasher came through with the 2010 Skater of the Year, James Hardy, Daniel Lutheran, and David Reyes. Here is the SOTY cover of Thrasher and some pics from Thrasher... Enjoy!
